The Best 10 Nintendo Titles You’ve Never Bought Before
There have been so many great Nintendo games over the years on many different handheld and home consoles.
There are obvious franchises and characters such as Mario, Zelda and Donkey Kong that most people have played at some point in their lives however there are also a massive number of great games that were largely ignored by the masses.
Below is a list of such games - highly regarded and reviewed yet mainly ignored by most gamers.
1. GTA: Chinatown Wars (DS) - This is the most highly rated game on the DS yet many people ignored it. It sold nothing compared to its bigger console counterparts yet it is every bit as good!
2. Beyond Good & Evil (Gamecube) - This was an excellent adventure from Ubisoft but the great game, story and characters were mostly ignored. Shame.
3. Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat (Gamecube) - If any Gamecube game deserved to sell better than it did, it must be this one. 2D platforming at its best with great bongo controls.
4. Zack & Wiki: Quest For Barbaros Treasure (Wii) - A great puzzle game which was also quite taxing on the mind. Capcom created a great franchise but we will not likely see it again as this was largely ignored.
5. Blast Corps (N64) - This was created by Rare, who also developed Goldeneye on N64. Unfortunately not many that played Goldeneye played this and it deserved better.
6. Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem (Gamecube) - This game spooked players with it's sanity feature and was totally original and great fun to play.
7. Chrono Trigger (SNES/DS) - While many would argue that this was played a lot in the early days, newer console gamers and Europeans have probably missed this one and now it's re-released on DS, there are no excuses not to play this Square classic.
8. Sin & Punishment (N64/Wii) - Unavailable originally in the west, this is now on Virtual Console on Wii so download and enjoy some Treasure action.
9. Okami (Wii/PS2) - A totally brilliant adventure that ranks up there with Zelda. Everyone should play this game - you owe it to Capcom!
10. Chibi-Robo! (Gamecube/Wii) - One of the last Gamecube releases and this could explain why few people gave this a go. It's a great title with originality written all over it.
