Do Not Throw The Box Away
We all buy lots of stuff and we throw away the packaging without giving it a second thought. STOP doing that.
Someone decided to sell an old Nintendo NES system on eBay. They probably thought they might make a few dollars from an enthusiast. They were shocked, and no doubt very pleased, when it eventually sold for £13,105 yes, you read that right, 13105 dollars.
It turns out the amazing interest in this was all down to the box. Apparently to a collector the bozx alone is worth around $10,000. I guess it is because so few of us ever keep the boxes it makes them very rare. It also had a very rare game which added another couple of thousand to the price. I'll bet the seller almost just dumped all this stuff and they would never have known how much it was worth.
So the tip of the day is Don't Throw Away The Box when you buy anything that might be a collectors item one day. Keep the box in your attic and you never know, it might be worth something one day.
