Wii was found to help younger kids burn calories and now, Wii Fit Plus is targeted toward the older kids and adults that need to get a start to their fitness routine. It laid out an entire menu, complete with calories and what it would take to burn off those calories. It contains a database of most of the foods we eat and helps determine what games need to be played and how long in order to burn off those calories.
Not only is it fun and helps burn off calories with games such as the "Turkey Burn" or "Bird's Eye Bull's Eye, Hula Hoop and Rhythm Boxing" but it also will calculate your BMI and tell you what your ideal weight should be. It makes a rather mundane task fun and enjoyable.
Other challenges are called "Island Cycling, Driving Range, Ski Slalom, Penguin Slide, Snowball Fight, Ski Jump" and more. Slower paced games include the "Rhythm" games such as boxing, parade and Kung-Fu.
It is a great alternative to some of the more aggressive games Wii provides, and the Fit includes, and they both work together. With the Wii Fit Plus, it comes bundled with the Balance Board but can be bought separately if the Wii is already an addition of your game consoles.
